Strong resume bullets follow a simple pattern: action verb, what you owned, and a measurable or observable result. That format helps both ATS keyword matching and the six-second human scan.
The formula
Action + scope + result. Example: “Automated weekly reporting for a 12-person ops team, cutting close time from 2 days to 4 hours.”
Upgrade weak bullets
Replace “Responsible for social media” with what you shipped and the outcome (growth, conversion, cost, quality, speed). If you lack metrics, use scope (users, markets, frequency) or qualitative impact that a manager would confirm.
Tailor order
After writing strong bullets, map the job description and reorder so the most relevant lines appear first.
